Advanced Tricho Pigmentation is the latest hair restoration treatment at the Harley Street Hair Clinic and we get asked a lot of different questions about the treatment. Today we’re going to take a closer look at it and let you know everything you need to know about it.

How long does the treatment take?

The length of the treatment will vary depending on the size of the area being treated, however, most treatments will consist of three sessions. Each session usually takes around 2 to 4 hours this will change depending on if you need a small area treated or a full scalp.

Treatments used purely to cover scarring are considerably shorter, again, the length of time the treatment will take will depend on the size of the scar.

Will you need future treatment?

Although advanced tricho pigmentation can be a permanent hair restoration procedure it is advised that you return to the clinic for a top up treatment in the future. Your initial treatment will never completely fade, however, top up treatments are advised to ensure your results look as realistic as possible.

Your treatment will soften over an extended period of time, most people will require a top up treatment every 4-7 years. The rate that the treatment fades will depend on skin type and the amount of direct sunlight your scalp is exposed to.

Will it hurt?

During the procedure, some clients may feel slight discomfort although the sensation is rarely described as painful – it is unlikely for the procedure to ‘hurt’, this can, however, vary from client to client. Painkillers and numbing cream can be used as a precaution before treatment.

Is everyone suitable?

Advanced Tricho Pigmentation is not suitable for everyone, although we try to cater to as many people as possible those who suffer from psoriasis, eczema or any other recurring skin condition which may affect the scalp are not suitable for the treatment.

Before your treatment, you’ll be asked to visit the clinic for a no obligation consultation during this consultation we can tell you if you’re suitable for the treatment, you can also ask any questions you may have.

Will my treatment look natural?

One of the most important aspects for us at the Harley Street Hair Clinic is that all of our treatments look natural and realistic. Over the course of three sessions, advanced tricho pigmentation will build on the tone, density and shape of your treatment.

We start conservatively in terms of all aspects, this means we’re able to avoid any unnatural or unwanted flaws. We use the most highly skilled practitioner and the best quality equipment to ensure your results will be natural.
