Picking a hairstyle can be a tough decision. What will suit you the most? What will look good? At Harley Street Hair Clinic we are experts in hair loss and we know what shorter hairstyles will work best for you.

Today we are looking at four of the most popular short hair styles for men. These easy to manage styles are perfect for those who are always on the go and don’t have time to style their hair every morning.

1. The crew cut

A crew cut is a classic hairstyle born in America and loved by Britain. It’s a simple yet cool style that will suit everyone.

The back and sides are short and defined, in order to compliment your facial structure. The top of the hair is slightly longer, but still relatively short, graduated in length from the longest hair at the front hairline to the shortest at the back of the crown.

The crew cut, also known as a tight cut or fade, are very popular with those who want a short, low-maintenance hairstyle. A crew cut can make the face look more defined and the easy style will compliment most. This is the perfect style for those who have no time to style their hair each morning.

2. The Caesar cut

The Caesar cut is perfect for the busy man. It is easy to maintain but still looks great. This style is an overall short buzz cut with a horizontally straight cut fringe and loved by celebrities, including George Clooney.

The style is named after Julius Ceaser and is layered to around 2-5cm all over, this short style is easy to spike up with a dab of cream or gel, allowing you to achieve the perfect style in a matter of seconds, and with little maintenance required.

3. The side part pompadour

A pompadour style is perfect as it works great with different lengths of hair, keeping the back and sides fairly short you can then have the top slightly longer, or quite a bit longer if you want to be able to play around with styles.

The side part pompadour is very good if you want to disguise a receding hair line; the far side parting makes the hair look fuller from the hair line and draws the attention away from the hairline to the parting.

4. Slicked back

Having your hair slicked back is the perfect hairstyle for those who want fuss free hair. It takes no time at all, yet looks sophisticated and cool. Keep the back and sides short with as much length on the top as possible to play around with. Using a little hair gel you can scrape back your hair with a comb in minutes.

Having the hair a lot longer on the top will also mean you can occasionally mess it up and play around with different styles, and you never know if you get it long enough you might be able to trial the man bun for a few days.
